County Eviction Moratorium Extended
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has voted to extend its Eviction Moratorium through February 28, 2021 and added additional protections to protect vulnerable renters.

Assistance for Renters & Landlords

LA County this week launched a new Emergency Rental Assistance Program. This $3.7 million program will serve as a lifeline to income-eligible renters and mom-and-pop landlords in unincorporated areas of LA County.

Those eligible for this program must be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic - whether through job loss, furloughs or a reduction in hours or pay.
If eligible for assistance through this program, recipients will receive up to $1,000 per month, for three months, to: 1) Pay rent, 2) Meet mortgage obligations on rental properties, and/or 3) Reduce rental payment delinquency.

Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants

As of Monday, May 18, 2020, California is providing state-funded disaster relief assistance to undocumented adults who are ineligible for other forms of assistance because of their immigration status. An undocumented adult who qualifies can receive $500 in direct assistance, with a maximum of $1000 in assistance per household.
To be eligible for disaster relief assistance, an individual must be able to provide the following information:

1. That you are an undocumented adult (person over the age of 18);
2. are not eligible for federal COVID-19 related assistance, like CARES Act tax stimulus payments or pandemic unemployment benefits; and
3. have experienced a hardship as a result of COVID-19.

Below is a list of organizations that are administering the funds in Los Angeles County. Visit their website for more details. In order to apply you will need to call their designated hotline Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting today.

Funds are on a first come first serve basis until they run out.
