Montebello Boosts Civic Pride with "Citizen of the Month" Program

The City of Montebello is initiating a Citizen of the Month program. The program intends to highlight members of the community who demonstrate the essence of what it means to live, work, and give back to their city, especially within the challenges of the current pandemic.

COVID-19 Vaccine Registration for LA County Residents Aged 65 or Older

Los Angeles County residents who are 65 years old and older can now register for COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Residents in this high-priority age group should visit VaccinateLACounty.com to schedule their appointments, which will begin Wednesday, January 20th. Residents who don’t have computer access may call (833) 540-0473 between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. for assistance with reservations.

YMCA-LA Offers Free Virtual "Get Summer" Program for Teens

The YMCA's annual summer program for teens is pivoting to a virtual platform this year in response to COVID-19. With the Los Angeles YMCA's Get Summer virtual platform, teens will have access to a variety of fun activities that promote both mental and physical health, academic support and leadership development forums and community service opportunities to support effective and positive change in their community.

Mesrobian High School Launches Distance Robotics Club

Armenian Mesrobian School in Pico Rivera is turning the challenges of distance learning into opportunities to advance its mission in new and innovative ways. True to Mesrobian’s commitment to a well-rounded education that includes “STEAM” subjects (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), Mesrobian High School launched an online Distance Robotics Club in early May, led by High School student Andrew Josephbek.
