One of the longest running Memorial Day Observance events in the state, this annual family-friendly event features observance and remembrance through the participation of community and patriotic groups, including the chamber singers, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and American Heritage Ensemble. Scheduled program events include a keynote speech by Former U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, musical entertainment, military flyover, honor guard and rifle team performances, a memorial wreath-laying ceremony and a POW/MIA remembrance. The local Mountain View Girl Scout troop will participate by distributing a miniature U.S. flag to all attendees. This event is free and open to the public.
