Angry Horse Brewing Joins in the Fundraising Efforts for The Camp Fire

Angry Horse Brewing has joined Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in their collaborative fundraising effort for those impacted by The Camp Fire that has devastated Butte County, CA.

Starting on November 8th, The Camp Fire was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history. It burned for 17 days, killing 86 people, destroyed almost 19,000 structures and displaced more than 14,000 families. Shortly after the fire broke out, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. announced they will brew Resilience Butte County Proud IPA and called on breweries across the nation to do the same. Angry Horse Brewing answered.

As a benefit corporation, philanthropy is fundamental value at Angry Horse, focusing on how to make a difference in the immediate community and beyond. With a charity beer on tap for most months out of the year, Resilience IPA is yet another way of giving back.

“We were devastated for the victims of the fire and pleased to discover Sierra Nevada created an opportunity for breweries to help with the relief effort. It is an honor to participate,” says CEO Nathan McCusker. Having simultaneously experienced The Woolsey Fire, in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, the devastation of The Camp Fire in Northern California has hit very close to home for many Los Angeles residents. Angry Horse Brewing is proud to join 28 other Los Angeles County breweries, and 1,400 plus breweries worldwide and in supporting this fundraising initiative.

Thursday, December 20th was “Resilience Night”, a celebration of the release of Resilience IPA with a nationwide pint night. Angry Horse Brewing debuted its variation of Resilience IPA and will sell it out of their taproom in Montebello, CA while supplies last. 100% of every dollar that they receive will go to the Sierra Nevada Camp Fire Relief Fund. Funds will directly help those that have been impacted by providing them with long term support for community rebuilding efforts. Join the movement.
