City of Montebello Offers Home Rehabilitation Loans to Homeowners

Through the Home Rehabilitation and Preservation Program, the City of Montebello offers loans of $50,000 available at a 3% interest rate for 15 years to eligible applicants.
 
The City of Montebello understands the importance of property preservation, maintenance, and home safety to homeowners.  The City also understands that the costs to rehabilitate homes are high and difficult for some residents. In response, using funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City is pleased to offer the Residential Home Rehabilitation Program to eligible Montebello homeowners.
 
ELIGIBLE WORK.
With these funds, homeowners can perform home rehabilitation work including replacing a roof, electrical upgrading, new wiring, new and/or repaired plumbing, house painting, structural repairs (including foundation and/or retaining walls), flooring, window replacement, ADA upgrades, and much more!
Eligibility Requirements.
To be eligible for the program, the homeowner must be income qualified and the home value may not exceed $527,250. The fiscal year 2018 Income Limits are as follows:
