COVID-19 Update from PIH Health (updated 5/15/2020)

May 15, 2020 - Update from PIH Health

We have been sharing PIH Health COVID-19 updates with you for the past two months to keep you informed on the patients under our care at each of PIH Health’s hospitals as well as the status of our supplies and other COVID-19 related activities. As the number of people hospitalized with the virus decreases, the need for this information is not as critical, therefore this will be our last update to you specifically related to COVID-19.

While the pandemic is not over, we have a solid treatment plan for COVID-19 patients and a stable supply of personal protection equipment (PPE) to safely care for all patients. We have increased our PPE supplies to a level that is now stabilized and we continue to have COVID-19 tests available at all three hospitals, all urgent care centers and primary care offices.

We will continue to provide high-quality and safe care for all patients, including those with heart disease, stroke and cancer.  We ask your support in encouraging your communities to not delay regular healthcare visits or needed medical procedures as they are vital to good health. PIH Health physician offices, urgent care centers and emergency departments are open and available to care for all medical needs.

We appreciate the tremendous response and support that we have received from our communities throughout the past few months and encourage you to follow us on Social Media for ongoing information. We will continue to update you on health issues that impact our communities as needed.

If you receive any calls regarding test results through this program you can direct them to call 211.  If they have specific concern about results for testing done at one of the PIH Health sites please ask them to email Covid.Questions@pihhealth.org.  Please send anyone interested in getting tested to coronavirus.lacity.org/testing to register.  More information can be found at covid19.lacounty.gov/testing.
