YMCA-LA Offers Free Virtual "Get Summer" Program for Teens

The YMCA's annual summer program for teens is pivoting to a virtual platform this year in response to COVID-19.  With the Los Angeles YMCA's Get Summer virtual platform, teens will have access to a variety of fun activities that promote both mental and physical health, academic support and leadership development forums and community service opportunities to support effective and positive change in their community.  The program runs from June 15th through July 31st.  The program is still accepting registrations from teens aged thirteen through eighteen.

Registration is free but required--students must register for the program and complete all three challenges in order to earn 20 hours of community leadership service, a letter of recommendation and certificate of achievement from the YMCA. The program is available at no cost due in large part to a grant by Rotary International Foundation.
